Peru
The Peruvian Republic, is located in the central and occidental part of South America, covering 1’285,215 km2, with a population of 27 million people, and with a large coast alongside the Pacific Ocean.
Perú is geographically divided into three regions, very different one from the other with respect to their geography and weather, these regions are the coast, the mountains and the jungle.
The city of Lima is the capital and one of the 24 political departments of the country.
Piura
By excellence, this is the department of fishery and aquacultural activity, in the coast at the north of Lima, only 50 minutes from Lima by air.
Its commercial facility is due to its seaport, Paita, second in importance after Callao. As Piura is located 4º 4´ 50" degrees below the Ecuatorial Line, its coast has a warm weather the whole year, with tropical characteristics, just where our operation center is located, in the Poechos Dam.
Poechos Dam
Poechos is located at 30 minutes from Piura by highway, and 30 minutes from Ecuador, going throughout harvests of lemon, mango, bananas, coconut and beautiful rice fields landscapes. It is known by its abundance of rivers of warm waters, coming from the east and flowing into the Pacific, where heavenly and pleasure beaches as M áncora and Punta Sal are found- Very near is the famous Cabo Blanco creek, inspiration for the famous novel “The Old Man and the Sea”, favorite beach for the deep-sea fishing of Merlin and the Swordfish.
Poechos is located between National Ecological Reserves, and Natural Sanctuaries.
